USB Transfer from Camera?
I receive my EX3 tomorrow and I wanted to confirm that I can transfer from camera to computer via usb. Is this possible? I want to avoid buying the card reader for now.
Thanks, Larry |

Larry,
Yes it is - that is how I've been doing it. You'll need to load the SxS driver (from the CD or from Sony) and then you'll want to use ClipBrowser 2.0 (also on the CD) to move and rewrap files. I edit on a PC using Vegas - I rewrap files as .mxf and drop them in the timeline.

Thanks Ted, I'll be importing into FCP so I will read the manual to determine if I need clip browser or not.

Seems like many (most?) FCP users are using ShotPut for their clips - can copy to two or three locations simultaneously for backup!
