FCP Import
Hi
Not sure if this is the right place for this question... I am importing EX1 footage into FCP using the XDCAM Transfer tool. Is there any way of specifying whether the clip audio is a stereo pair or separate tracks? Cheers, Nick |

Comes in a dual mono and then one must link in FCP.
If you try to export timeline to MXF using XDCAM Transfer export it'll ask you to set timeline back to dual mono too. |

Craig, is it ok to link the dual mono tracks as stereo pair if we need to export the sequence as ref movie for transcoding outside of FCP?
Also, Craig - can you explain what MXF is, very briefly?! |

Since I often shoot with a Stereo Shotgun I convert to stereo in the timeline. You can use it for whatever you want at that point.
MXF is a wrapper that includes metadata. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MXF |
