What could it be?

Hi, if i load the images of my EX1 to my fcp 6.03 system i find somthing strange:
First of all the images are shot 60I and in the browser they apear like 1920x1080 29.97fps
The other strange thing is that the images looks like they are shot in 24fps, they are not smooth like i see them on the camera's lcd.
Could that be short on memory i just haven 1 gb on my mac g5 dual2.5ghz?
