Solar battery charger recommendation?
Hi,
I am taking an EX cam to beat the bush in Congo and am looking for a high performance, solar battery charger. Any recommendations? Thanks. Thierry. |

Brunton makes a line of solar panels that roll up into a small tube. The largest of these is capable, according to their documentation and some reviews that I read, of charging camcorder batteries, powering sat phones and even laptops. This could be just the thing. The price isn't bad. I'm close to pulling the trigger on one of these devices, but I would love to hear from someone who has actually tried this technology. I know it's been around for a while and that's some comfort. You'll probably need the largest of these solar panels which runs about $400. If you get one, write back and let us know how (if) it works with the EX1.
