EX-1 to HVR-60
Have anyone tried to record HDV signals from EX-1 to HVR-60? I was hoping for a buffer recording in the EX-1 or EX-3, but that didn't happen.

Yes, it works flawlessly - but only in SP mode.

When you consider the camera is handling about 87.5mbps when doing 60fps overcrank you'd think/wish Sony would find a way to buffer 1 or 2 seconds of data in a loop when not using S&Q motion.
If you look at the XML file in the BPAV folder there's a cache record setting in there set to "off" so they had to have been thinking of this. I guess there's some technical obstacle to this specific to the EX series. I don't think it was even mentioned with the announced hard drive for the camera. |

Thank you Piotr and Craig. That will give me an alternative, not the best, but it will do the job until better portable solutions are on the marked.
