EX1 footage and Premiere Pro 3.2.0
Hi,
I'm running into a strange issue and was wondering if anyone else has as well. I'm running PPro on a PC and my MacBook Pro (XP/Bootcamp) I'm able to import the EX1 footage into my EX1 1080 project and play it off the timeline. However, if I add a dissolve between clips and render the timeline, it doesn't play. In fact, the image freezes and the audio continues to play. The play-head moves normally as well. When I place the play-head over the 'green' area of the rendered transition, it gives me 'Media Pending' in the play window. Anyone else having this issue with EX1 footage and Premiere Pro? It does it both on my PC and on my MacBook Pro. I'll be receiving the Mac version of Adobe Production in a couple days so I'll try it on the Mac side of things. Thanks, Jim

When I import HDV into premiere it will "index" all the footage files before it allows me to edit. When I try to edit before it is done indexing the program behaves as you describes in your post.
I don't know if it does this with the EX-1 footage though. But since the EX-1 footage is Long-GOP like HDV, I wouldn't be surprised if it did. |
