What do the Audio Marks Align to on EX1?
Does anybody know what the audio marks on the EX1 actually line up with? I was working with a friends camera yesterday and it seemed to be -12Db was about seven notches from the first Red mark. The camera tone seemed to be on or off but no mention of the volume in the menu. We determined this by recording a clip with bars and tone, ingesting it into Final Cut and seeing what those meters read.

Hi Daniel,
In order to get a proper reading of the audio levels on the EX1 you have to press the status button located above the bars/cam button. There are 5 pages under that menu. The audio monitering is on the second page. You can got to it by using the sel/set button. There you will have all the info you need for the audio! |

Nicolas,
While a useful answer I was looking for a specific relation to the audio display on the LCD in shooting mode. Doesn't seem like it should be buried in a menu item unless it can change the display on the LCD during shooting. Since I don't own the camera I can't easily play with it to see the various display options. Maybe i will go by my local dealer to play with it. |
