XDCAM EX1 is it 1080p or not?
I was sent this message by a video person in Phoenix and I'm trying to make heads or tails from it.
"The Sony PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX Camcorder shoots 1080i/720P switchable. It does not shoot 1080p. Check it out. http://www.abelcine.com/store/produc...age=1&featured " Should I stop telling my clients that the EX1 is not 1080p? Your thoughts are appreciated. |

You can look it up on the Sony website, but I assure you I have shot 1080 60i, 1080 30p, and 1080 24p in HQ format with the camera. In HDV format it will shoot 1080 60i and 1080 24p, but not 1080 30p.

I'm pretty sure the EX1 does progressive.
Check out the brochure here: http://www.sony.com.au/objects/PDF/PDWEX1_Brochure.pdf |

Ummm if you read it again it clearly states 1920x1080 and 1080p/720p one of the main selling points is the "full HD" sensor and recording (35mb), manual lens and other features aside.
