ISO Rating pure EX1 and with LEX?
What are people finding out the ISO rating for the EX1 is and also if you have a LEX?
I'm finding 800 for the camera - which seems wild - and for the LEX I'm having difficulty. Anywhere from 250 to 400 depending on the lens? How are you guys calculating the ISO with a LEX on? I've seen the FreshDV vid but its not clear once you have it set if you need to set it up again everytime you change your lens or look to stop down on the Nikon lens. Thanks for the help! |

I think with any of the adapters its hard to rate the sensitivity for the purpose of metering, because you have two apertures in play. If you had the EX-1 iris set and did not change it you could probably come up with an ISO for which to meter and set your taking lens iris, but if you open or close the EX-1 it would effectively change the ISO.
But most adapters (Letus/Brevis) lose about 1-1.5 stops, so if you figure the EX-1 sensitivity (in 60i) is 800 then figure it around a 200-400. B |
