So could you run the SDI out of the EX1 and into this box and take that live into the macbook for capture at 10 bit 422?

Price and availability Priced at $1,595 US in North America (£899, €1,295) not including local taxes, Matrox MXO2 will be available in July 2008 through a worldwide network of authorized dealers. - I had the MXO1 for a few weeks, already a very nice product but I was missing the input... The Aja I/O Box is overpriced and apparently not working so well but the MXO2 looks truly amazing! |

Battery powered HD SDI input device. Now that is a product I have been waiting for. And it looks like it will be the perfect companion for the entire Sony XDCAM line.
Lets hope it ships with working drivers, and not the usual matrox "perhaps in a year or so" fixes. |

July is so far! That looks awesome though. Does anyone know if you can monitor out via the HDMI at the same time?
I like the XLR support as well and all for that price? Nice! |

What I like to know is if it has a hardware encoding chip for all the mentioned formats, like the aja io hd has for prores ?
Or does it only support those formats? I think this will make all the difference between a killer application and a portable adaptor. |
