Just a heads up! From the about: Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 3.2.0 update adds native support for the Sony XDCAM range of cameras, including disc-based XDCAM and XDCAM HD cameras, and the newer SxS-based XDCAM EX cameras. This release also includes improved handling of MPEG streams (e.g. HDV video), along with error detection and other important bug fixes. Its been nice to see the updates as I hardly remember any for the previous versions. Some info from the Adobe Blogs about the bug fixes and features: http://blogs.adobe.com/davtechtable/...emiere_32.html

Just downloaded the update on the Windows side of my MacBook Pro.
This is SO SWEET! I can plug a SxS card into the Express Card slot, drag the BPAV folder into Premiere, it imports all the MP4 files. Drag those to the timeline, and I'm off and editing off the SxS card in seconds. Pretty slick...

Now that Adobe has done it:
Hello Sony - how about allowing Vegas-users to import native EX1-files without that silly re-wrapping? (Should have been possible in the first place.)

Wow. First impression is that Adobe nailed it. Terrific playback of 1920 files with transitions and effects. All EX formats, no clip browser, no conversion to MXF, no archiving two formats. Well done!!

Is there an XDcam browser in Adobe now or can you just import it straight into Premiere?

What do you mean? Did you import the mp4 straight into premiere? I have to rewrap them to mxf tho.

Anyone tried over and under crank with the Ex1 and the resolution on red items that are moving. I have with the xdcam HD 350 and there is some very noticable colour bleed?

Mark,
do you mean you've logged this as a fault: Quote:
Have you had the trouble with the EX1 or just the 350? |

Hi John, Have logged it with Adobe and sent footage. I posted in ex1 and 350 because codecs are almost the same.
