XDCAM Transfer Question
I installed XDCam Transfer on to my MacBook Pro. I do not have Final Cut Pro on this machine yet and that may be the problem. The application opens, but won't show any images. It sees the card in the slot but won't show images. I do get information about the clips however. I have XDCam on my G5 and it runs perfectly. I do have the browser on this MacBook Pro and I can review the cards and see clips but can't save them. I am hopeful to get this problem resolved so I can dump card data onto the laptop and clean the card in order to shoot more footage. Any suggestions of insight is greatly appreciated.

Phil
See my thread underneath about FCP 6.0.2 and QT7.4 and possible solutions. It seems that quite a few people are starting to have this problem.

XDCAM Transfer requires Final Cut Pro 6.0.2. The EX codec is in the FCP 6.0.2 download.
Since the MacBook Pro is an Intel Mac you should use the Clip Browser which does not require FCP at all. |

Thanks all
I loaded FCP 6.2 on the MacBookPro and everything worked as advertised.
You Must have FCP on the machine (or I guess any other editing host software) to be able to see XDCAM Transfer images. Phil |

I believe it must be FCP 6.0.2. Mac NLEs as PremierePro, Avid, Media 100, at this point do not have the EX1 codec.
