Help - settings for FCP sequences
I'm pretty dumb about settings and codecs for Final Cut Pro and I need to cut something for tomorrow that mixes 108024P with 720 slo mo.
What are all the best settings to use for my sequence and renders. I imported as EXDCAM 1080/24P But i've read : "For 90% (WAG) of the work people will do: Import your footage as XDCAM. Drop it in a sequence that is Set to ProRes, DNxHD, Cineform or some other high quality codec." How do I create a sequence that is Pro res and has all the correct settings for the EX footage? Also if I start cutting in a less than ideal sequence, can I just change the sequences settings, or just copy my edit into a sequence with different settings. I tried that once today and my aspect ratio got completely screwed up. lenny levy |

Go into Sequence Settings and change the render mode to Apple Pro Res render. It only gives you 2 options. EX or Pro Res. Very Simple.
