SxS not mounting on MBP
When I insert the SxS card into the card reader on my MBP, no volume mounts. I've installed the newest XDCAM transfer 2.5.1 and Clip Viewer.
I've read about SxS drivers but can't find installers for them. I have not yet installed FCP on the MBP but I do have 6.0.2. I just didn't want to install it unless I had to. So the question is: Do I have to have FCP installed to be able to mount SxS cards? |

Here's a link I found (from Canada) on Google: http://www.sony.ca/promedia/drivers.htm I have this problem and it's because my Express slot is broken. Try this: With a clean desktop and just one finder window open (so you can see mounting drives), push the card in as far as you can, pushing uncomfortably against the spring at the end. Hold it there for a few seconds and see if the card mounts. If so, you have the same issue I have and you need to have the slot repaired. I haven't done the repair and don't know how expensive it is etc. I just plug the camera in via USB instead. |
