Wireless/Electronic Focus Control
Is anyone aware of any solutions for the EX? As far as i can tell the lens controller seems to be zoom only (or at least the only electronic control gadgets for the EX seem to be zoom only).
In a steadicam/crane situation what options are there for remote focus? A 'traditional' full follow focus set up with a wireless control or are there any other lower end options for the EX? (I assumed the autofocus is just the centre area and therefore largely useless, i've not experimented too much as i've just assumed it would be. Some SLRs are a bit more intelligent though) many thanks for any ideas paul |

The auto focus is a bit slow. I've been looking into a remote focus option myself, and it seems there are two methods. You can get a 0.8 pitch gear ring, add a rod system, and use a standard system from preston, bartec, etc. What I'm wondering though is if there is a pinout diagram available for the remote terminal. It's not a standard connector, so it would be hard to find one to use, but I'm assuming out of the 8 pins in use, focus control is available.
