stupid question but ...

just thought I'd ask. If I record via RCA cables out into a DVD recorder directly will there be any problem with the signal? In other words, the camera would be on but not recording. The image would show up on monitor out of the DVD recorder. I'm assuming that recording SD in that way would not present a problem. Anyone have any info on that?

Hi Dean,

I've been doing that using both VHS and DVD Recorders for years.

Best to use "FireWire" if you've got the connections, SVHS is next, and RCA the least quality.

been doing that with my other cams as well and it works fine. was just wondering if the signal interferes.
