"CANNOT CONTINUE" Message
I have only scratched the surface of my EX1 that only came yesterday but I have been getting a lot of on screen messages that say "Cannot Continue". Seems to do with using the direct menu when I shouldn't be. Anyone else seen this and know why I am getting it?

I think this needs to be a sticky.
The direct menu needs to be set to 'Part' in order for the switches to function. regards paul. |

There's really a LOT of "gotcha's" in the menus. If things aren't switched properly, the camera won't let you.
For example, you can't access the CAMERA DATA menu if firewire is plugged in. It doesn't tell you that in the owner's manual. |

no, not really.
what would you like it to say...."forget it, buddy. I'm not gonna let you do that because you did something stupid; and, you obviously didn't or couldn't read the operators manual."? Last edited by Bill Ravens; January 29th, 2008 at 08:57 PM. |

It is a bit unsettling the way they phrased it. When I first saw this I immediately thought, "Cannot proceed. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200." Then I found out it was just a menu setting. I'm glad to see the oddly worded menus came with the CineAlta badge.
