Questions about SDI-output in SD-mode
I might be using my camera in a couple of days to shoot a couple of short interviews that will be aired only a couple of hours after they are shot. The plan is to use the SDI-output and record straight into an Avid using an SDI-mojo. I have not used the SDI-output before and have the following questions:
1. What is the quality like on the downconversion to SD? 2. Is audio embedded in the SDI-signal? 3. Can I record in any resolution/framerate and simultaniously get output to SD-SDI or are there any limitations that I should know about? 4. Anything else I have not thought about? Very grateful for any advice I can get! Thanks! /ola |

Sorry to be persistent. I need the answers to these questions today to be able to make a decision. No one knows? |

Audio is embedded in the SDI. I've been using it this way with the BM HDLINK.

Any thoughts on the SD-downconversion quality? |

Ola, regarding quality. I played with the camera for more than a week and i must admit that i am quite impressed. i saw the whole picture on the +-50" screen and hd quality is fantastic. SDI also in my opinion looks very very good in SD mode. anyhow you should test it for yourself of course. personally i will use it with no problem. all the best, filip kovcin
