FYI : new shoulder mount for the EX1

The part that sticks out to the right of the camera is a design flaw in my opinion. It would be very easy to hook into things and ruin a shot that way.
I´m sure it could be improved though |

I agree - having that "girder" sticking out in front makes it look home made - if it HAS to be that long, which I doubt, it should at least have some padding on the end.

I called Studio 1 Productions today about the "grider" look. They said, they are planning on coming out with some accessory shoes mounts that will fit on that part. You will be able to mount a camera light, shotgun mic, etc. on that part. They said it will be sold as an option later this spring as they are working on a two stage shoe mount to fit there.
I just ordered one with them. It looks good and if it is like their other shoulder brace, which I have, it will be very solid. Rob |
