whose decided to wait...
whose decided to wait for the Z7? or is there anyone who purchased an EX-1 and wished they held out for the Z7? I think it would be interesting to see what would make people choose one camera over the other, as i can only see a few major issues which would sway the decision (interchangable lens and tape workflow). I still can't work out if this is a cut down version of the EX-1 (obviously with a few things added in replacement) or just a different camera targeted at a different market.

The differences between these two cameras are clear and profound.
If you have to think about a Z7 vs an EX1 then you really better first determine your target market and why you're getting a camera. |

I agree with the above. The Z7 might well turn out to be the Z1's replacement, but it's been kept well away from the EX1 by having to live with 1"/3 chips. The good news is it inherits the EX1's v/finder and side-screen resolutions, something the Z1 cries out for. It could well have benefited from a 14x zoom while they were at it, and in some ways I'd rather have a 14x fixed than the 12x interchangeable it comes with.
