Vegas is such an intuitive, efficient and intelligent NLE. That's why I really can't understand that Vegas does not manage this silly rewrapping automatically when importing native EX1-clips. Why bothering the user with an additional importing step in the first place? (And with a poorly designed piece of software - Clip-browser, that is.)

I stand corrected. Yes Vegas Pro is still at 8.0a.
I do believe there's been an update to the ClipBrowser since the one released with the Camera. I believe the version with the Camera is 1.0 and there's a 1.1 as Zenes points out. on the Windows side (Mac still at 1.0). |

This is a known issue. The problem is that you are using the older version of the clip browser. You will need to go to the Sony web site and download the latest version. I had exactly the same problem - but the new version of the clip browser fixed it instantly. All the best, P.S. Look like the others beat me to it.
