EX1 Cases

I thought I'd post some pics of the EX1 in a Peli 1560 case in case anyone is wondering if it will fit.

The camera will fit in the case upright, but pressure on the top of the case might me transfered to the camera as the top of the viewfinder is inside the lid. I opted to put mine in on it's side.

regards

Paul.

Thanks again for thoses pics.
Can't you take to "matebox" off the lens, so it is less large ?

You could, but there's no need. The lid is over 5cm deep on this case so the matte box doesn't go anywhere near the top of it with it shut. It's good to have some of the camera above the foam as the lid then holds everything nice and snug.

Hi Paul,
Is this the model that can be taken as cabin luggage?

No, that's the 1510. Unfortunately the EX1 is too wide to fit that case. The 1560 is quite a bit larger than the 1510 but then at least if it has to go in baggage there's more foam around it.

I'd still hate knowing that my camera was in in the hands baggage handlers though!
