Transfer from Camera to Computer?
This may have been covered, but I've read most of the threads in here and couldn't find anything on it.
Is there a way to transfer the clips from the SxS card in the camera via USB or iEEE to your computer? The reason I ask is that I just ordered a camera, and until I can get a laptop with a PCExpress slot, I need some way to get them into my editing system. Thanks, Jim |

Yes you can hook the unit up to your computer via a USB 2.0 port.
You can also get a sony USB reader/writer for SxS cards, the SBAC-US10. I think it runs about $250, that way you don't have to tie up your camera while offloading footage. Check out the Sony brochure for some more info. http://www.sony.com.au/objects/PDF/PDWEX1_Brochure.pdf That link is also a sticky in the main XDCAM EX area. |
