No timecode, no video, help!
I have an old VX1000 that has been having issues lately. The worst issue just occurred today. I tried playing some footage back and no time code or video was being read. So I popped in several other old tapes and they too showed no time code and no video was being displayed. It's a very old camera and has not been serviced (yes, I should get a new one!), but I have some important footage I recorded today and will check on a friend's camera to make sure it was captured. In any event, if anyone has any ideas on what causes this time code/no video issue, let me know. I tried searching here, but didn't find anyone with the same problem. Thanks!

If I accidently press the TC/U-Bits button on my Z1 then something like this happens. Does the VX1000 have a feature like this which you might have accidently activated?

I looked through my menu and didn't see any type of that selection. I think it's time for me to upgrade my camera so what better excuse than now! :) Thanks for your response.
