Sony Charger
E-Bay has a Sony BC-V615 charger new for 39.00. Will this charger work okey for L type batteries npf750 & 960.

A simple Google search which turns up the Sony Web site information on this charger is as follows: BC-V615 msrp $59.99 "Economical portable charger for Lithium-Ion batteries (NP-F330/550/730H/750/960) " I see that it is available from Web retailers at $49.95

So what/s the downside of just charging the battery on the camera.

The downside of just charging the battery on the camera is that doing so takes the camera out of action for so long, unless you have a number of spare batteries handy for that all-day shoot.
Here's a $50 dual-batt charger. |

You just let me off the hook with the comment about the all day shoot. At this point in my video abilities I'm doin a whole lot more charging than shooting. I think I'll keep saving for the Optex wide angle and experimenting.
