questions for pd170/vx2100 users
Hi everybody, a friend of mine gave me his Sony pd170 and I have few questions about this camera. Is it possible to shoot true 30fps progressive with this camera? Can i change some values such as sharpness, if so, in which section of the menu?
Thank you in advance. Last edited by Menad Kesraoui; November 3rd, 2006 at 09:04 AM. |

There is no 30p on the PD/VX series. They will shoot 15 fps progressive, but that is only useful for some specialized purposes.
Changing sharpness, white balance shift, color level and similar things is accomplished with the custom preset button on the handle. It isn't available from the regular menu button. |

Thank you for the info. I was thinking that this camera could shoot 60i and then converted to 30p. I guess i'll have to deinterlaced my footage in some other ways, any suggestions?
