Haha... yup my friend told me the rallys will get 10x more violent once the first bomb is dropped! Just pray your not near some idiot anarchiest with a couple sticks of who knows what! Thats when you need a homemade sheild some layers and kevlar, and 3 UV filters in hopes debris doesn't demolish your camera/and or camcorder!

Alex, when was the last time someone set a bomb at a rally? Who is 'your friend'?

Spreading around this fear, uncertainty and doubt doesn't serve anyone.

Hey Frank, based upon what I saw at the first two rallies, you can do one of two things. Set up early with a tripod in front of where the speakers are. Or flow with the crowd and just use a monopod. There won't be any room for a tripod in the crowd.

To me, all the interesting stuff was with the crowd during the actual march. When the speakers start up, not many of them are worth recording. Maybe the band.

Keith, I'm pretty sure Alex meant when ordinance starts dropping elsewhere in the world, not at a rally. Keep it clean and above board please, folks... many thanks,

Keith, videography is more of a hobby for me than photography. My biggest thing in life besides baguachang is capturing the moment with B&W still film. But I also like slow speed color slides.
