camera recommendation

I work with a school that needs a recomendation on an easy to operate camcorder in order to be able to gather useable footage for me to use in their promotional material.
I was thinking of either TRV 900-950 however it might be out of their price range. considering needing a good low light camera with preferabely 3 chip are these the only choices for the buck?

if i want to recommend something in the lower price range and going down to 1 chip with low light what do u guys suggest?>
