It happened again! >:(

Yep, the blue chip went out on my 150 again Sat. night, and this time tape was rolling when it happened. I was walking from the wedding cake table to the head table to record the toasts, and left the camera running, wasn't really looking at the image. When I looked again, everything was tinted green. Damn it! I was forced to record the toasts like that - fortunately, it looked decent after color correction. I again had to switch to my little Panasonic after dinner. I briefly considered using the 150 anyway and color-correcting the whole thing, but wisely decided against it.

When you play the tape, a muted thump is audible at the moment the image changes (could be a coincidence). No, I didn't brush the camera against anything, and even if I had, that shouldn't cause this sort of failure. My guess is that a solder joint let go. Now I have to ship it back to New York and borrow that VX1000 again. Wonder what the boss is gonna say...
