Any info about J&K Cameras?

Hello Everyone,

I am thinking about buying a few camcorders for my church in the near future. The best price I see on Ebay is from a company called J&K Cameras, they have a 100% feedback on over 3500 transactions.

The problem is, in doing my homework, I found information about a couple of "bait and switch" type sellers, namely Best Price Cameras and Infinityphoto (on www.resellerratings.com) that are allegedly affiliated with J&K. I called J&K and of course they deny any involvement with those companies.

So my question is, has anyone heard anything about J&K or has anyone dealt with them?

Thanks,

Ervin in Atlanta.

A guy I work with just bought a brand new pd 170 for $3,100.

Our company has bought many cameras from him, he'll get you a good deal and is someone you can trust.

You will be a lot happier in the long run if you buy from a reputable supplier that will give you long-term support.

B&H, a supporter of this site is a great seller although they have virtually no long-term support.

Were I buying for the church, I'd look long and hard at someone proven like Armato's that will give you a loaner if your cameras require repair for as long as you own the camera. They will, of course, charge you for non-warranty repair after the warranty is over (they have good service contracts too) but where else can you get that kind of support?

The cheapest price, except for throw-away products, is almost never the best buy in the long term.

I bought my DVX100 for J& K

I bought my DVX100 from J&K last September. So far the experience is okay. They offer you so many additional products and hassle you to get the mack warranty. You have to haggle with them big time. Plus, if you are a new customer, you have to fax or email your credit card with a piece of ID.
I took the chance since they offer a great deal (DVX100 with lots of accessories). I would not buy additional stuffs more than what they offer at ebay.

The shipment was quick considering coming to Canada. It was also well packed. If I will buy another camcorder, I'll get it at B&H ( I hate dealing with salespeople)
