vx2000 mini tape question

Hello,

I have a vx2000 that I have used three different types of minidv tapes in. They are: JVC, SONY, PANASONIC

My question is that I want to go back to the SONY tapes (only) and wanted to know if this warrants cleaning the tape heads first? Also, looking for recommendations on where to purchase the sony 80min. tapes at a good price?

Thanks,
Troy

I would certainly recommend running a cleaning tape between switching brands. Then I'd suggest you stay put Troy - keep to one brand from now on.
