Record 4 Audio Channels Simultaneously?

Is it possible to record 4 audio channels simultaneously on the VX2100 (12-bit mode)? For instance, can I record room noise / ambient with the onbard mic on 2 channels, and record from a sound board on 2 channels, for a total of 4 simultaneous channels? The only use of the four channels that I have read of thus far, is dubbing or re-recording audio onto the other 2 channels after the primary recording has completed.

Thanks
Erik
