VX2100 - can you change the idle shut off timer?

Is there a setting that allows you to NOT have it shut off in 5 minutes of idle time?

Other than leaving the tape door open, no. The 150/170 just shut off the drum but remain powered up.

I think you can press the still picture button at the upper rear and the 2000/2100 will power back up. Many of the remote camera controllers have power buttons that will also turn the camera on.
