you might try studio1productions.com in Florida. They might still have them but $30 is a pretty cheap price.

eBay's your best bet. The Lenmark NP-730H knockoff works real well, at a fraction of the cost of the Sony version.

true, $30 really isn't a bad deal.
is the np-f730 the only battery for a vx1000? i'm afraid i'll get the wrong thing on ebay because most of them say they are compatible with a vx1000, vx2000, and vx2100, but the vx1k and 2k have two different battery types. so i'm trying not to get scammed. Will this work? http://cgi.ebay.com/4200mAh-NEW-Batt...item518b8c94e8 It's an np-f730h knockoff, which should fit the vx1000, but it doesn't say it's compatible with it.

I just looked at the link you provided and did not see the VX1000 listed. I saw a VX2001 (?) and others but no VX1000.

The NP-F720, NP-F730, and NP-F730H all work with the VX1000; I think that there may also be a NP-F710, but I've never actually seen one.
I recommend the NP-F730H because it has the longest battery life of the three (four?) |

VX1000 battery
I just bought one of these a week ago, with 2 batteries - of course, the batteries don't hold a charge anymore for more than 5 minutes. NP-F730 batteries are hard to find. I did a search on Radio Shack, and it said they have the batteries. I ordered 2 of them, and when I got the email "receipt" of what I ordered, it turns out they're giving the f750 instead (it says it is compatible or replaces the f730, but I know that it doesn't, since it won't fit inside the battery compartment). Be careful when ordering.
Vendors may say they have it, but it turns out they will send you something else that "should" be compatible. I know that the batteries for VX1000 will also work on my Sony TRV-900 (it's an external attachment), but the TRV-900 batteries I have won't work on the VX1000 (internal compartment). |
