Extra shoe VX-2100
I have a HVL-S3D video light that uses the VX-2100 hot shoe for power. I also have a shotgun mic. I want to use both, I've seen dual shoe adapters but none are hot. Any info where I can get one?

You might want to be a bit careful how much power you attempt to haul through the hot shoe. I don't know if Sony states any limits but you might want to touch base with them before you attempt that, assuming you can find a y connector in the first place.

The mic doesn't use any power from the shoe.

Frank take a look at the mini rover from videosmith it will give you an extra shoe mount off the side of the cam along with a nice hand grip for more stability in hand held shots leaving the actual hot shoe for the light. I personally dont own one but have only heard positive things.

Thanks Matt, that would be a solution. I've been searching google all week but didn't hit Videosmith.
