Please Help Me Evaluate This Lens
I've just picked up a Kenko .65 WA for my VX2000 and, frankly, I'm a little concerned about its performance. I've got exactly 5 more days to evaluate it before I can no longer return. I've posted some frame grabs here:
http://members.cox.net/tauger.paul/Video%20Page/Kenko%20Comparison.htm I'd appreciate it if you could take a look and tell me what you think. If I return the Kenko (which I liked because of its bayonet mount), I'll probably pick up the Canon. Thanks! |

check out the OPTEX bayonet mount WA for 2000/150
from zgc. for the money you cant go wrong with the canon wd-58 as far as quality picture etc but it is not as wide and of course not bayonet mount. zgc informed me that the optex is much wider than the canon and that its machined well for like $100 or so less then the century optics. |

Matthew, do you know anywhere that sells the Optex? I've looked on the net, and can only find Optex' UK website (where they want 200 pounds, about $320, for the lens). That's probably more than I can afford to spend on a lens right now.
Ooops, never mind, I found zgc's website. It says they are the exclusive distributer for Optex. |

Consider the Canon WD-58 wide angle adapter, perfect for the VX2000 and under $200 (or about $240 with the optional lens hood).

RE: Canon Lens
How is the Canon Lens? Just wondered. I bought one when I picked up my camera, and it had the lens hood with it. Mine as 189.00 in Charlottle, NC.
Thanks. Sincerely, Bill |

i own the canon and keep it on my VX2000 almost all the time. its a nice lens though you can get a wider image with the optex or century .65 but i have only used the canon and you cant get a better lens for the money as far as im concerned. matt |
