Sony Camcorder -Sony tapes???
Just oredered a new VX2100 yesterday and was reluctant to buy any tapes before I did some homework. Should you use the sony tapes with a sony camcorder? And does anyone know about the reliability of 80 min DV tapes?

Welcome to the forums, Kirk.
Lots of postings about tape including my, "Match The Supplies to the Equipment." posting http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...threadid=13527 Try a search on the topic of the longer tapes but you will find they are OK, if relatively expensive.

Biggest issue is to stick with one brand, especially if you use Sony tapes. Different lubricants fight with each other.
