the pd170 is the replacement of the pd150 which is several years old now. the low light shooting feature was also present on this camera, so no.. it has nothing to do with creating a market away from HD. |

Some more.....
Here in Canada, if I want to submit a music video to a major music video cable channel (Much Music here in Canada); I still have to convert it to Betacam. One production house wanted three hundred dollars (270USD) just to convert from DVCAM! Anyway, I have no idea what all these people would do if you had HD and had to submit or convert..... Also, for you guys who do weddings and corporate events. Does anyone over thirty really want HD showing every line and mark on their face? Just curious as to whether we may go back to a high tech version of the old vaseline on the lens trick..... Just saying that there does not seem to be any mad rush to go HD at this stage of the game..... |
