Physical Size
hey guys. Im really interested in the physical size of the VX2100/2000. Could anybody get me some images of you holding the camera so I can kind of see it better ? Is it bigger than the DVX100 ? Thaks for the help guys, much appreciated.

It is longer and narrower than the DVX. I haven't any photos that would be helpful to you, although the Sony website should offer this (also look at the photo of the PD170; same difference), but you can also get the dimensions from the
B&H website and figure a few things out from there.

I came to the PD170 from the Sony TSR950. The PD170 is about twice and big and twice as heavy as the TSR950. I know. You can read the dimensions and the weights, but until you get in your hands, it's hard to tell.
I put a Porta Brace light duty strap on it. The camera hangs on my shoulder just fine. The weight is noticeable but not objectionable. Want my advice? GET ONE! This camera deserves it's reputation. Think of it as the smallest 1/3 inch 3CCD camera. I just sent in for my $300 rebate. I am extremely pleased with my PD170. It's a wonderful camera. |
