PD170 Memory stick matte quiery
Hi This has been a very imformative site.
One question. I use 4x3 but have one job in 16x9, I decided on the memory stick matte rather than the 16x9 mode in the cam. I downloaded the matte onto the stick but the camera does not read the jpeg image? Is there a trick to this? thanks guys |

There is something special about the file format... sorry can't remember since it's been 8 years since I had this problem! But I remember the mattes I made on my Mac in Photoshop back then didn't work either. Are you using a Mac or a PC? IIRC, the solution on the mac was to use a freeware program called "graphic convertor" (or something like that).

Thank you, You have hopefully put me on the right track, I can now look into converting the file. I use pc with Adobe but never before had a reason to use the memory stick.

Googled around a bit, and remembered that the PD-150 (maybe also the 170?) was supplied with a Windows program called "PictureGear Lite". I believe it might be able to convert files to the correct format.
