"Fader" flashing on the LCD screen?!

While shooting this past weekend I saw "fader" flash on my LCD screen. It's some effect where it fades the video out when you stop recording. I had to hit stop then record again to get it to go away- the flashing icon was annoying me.

Anyway beings I'm not interested in any of those in-camera cheesy effects...how in the world did I "accidentally" turn it on? This happen to anyone else?

On the VX2K there is a button called "fader"at the lower part of the left side of the cam. Maybe VX21OO has a simular button.
