Macro Lens for VX2000
For an experiment I want to do, I am considering to buy a macro lens...I found the Raynox CM-3500 Micro Explorer in 6x 12x and 24x
What about the quality of this lens? I need to get the best quality ....Must I consider any other brand to look? Thanks F |

With the lens zoomed to full wide, the 2000 should just about focus on something touching the lens.
Do you need a large image and/or a fair amount of subject to lens separation or?

In a super 8 forum a guy made some telecine experiments...
He removed the optic of a S8 projector with variable speed, changed the original lamp (100W) with a 40W normal bulb and filmed the filmgate directly with a cheap digital camera (digital8) with a 12X macro lens adapter with an impressive result... If you want to give a look the video he got, here is the link http://batman.jypoly.fi/~robin/super8/siirtodemo.mpg (98MB, mpeg2 file) So, I want to explore this way...But I am afraid about the VX2000 lens size....Looks to bulk for to align with the projector in an easy way.. Mike: If you decided to watch the movie, let me know your opinion about Cheers T |
