Same tape, different camcorder
I read somewhere on a forum that you can record from one camcorder and use another camcorder to playback the video with no loss of quality. Is this true?
The reason I ask is that I just recieved my new VX2100 and would like to do catures with my Sony TRV-33 camcorder. I was worried that the TRV-33 would downgrade the quality of the recording from the VX2100 and give me a degraded capture. I was curious as to why this may possible. Thank you for your time. |

Yes its very possible and many here including myself use a consumer type cam for importing footage. Its digital data 1's and 0's basically that travel over the Firewire so no downgrade at all in your video.
Have fun with your 2100! |
