Gettin' a new audio board at DVinfo.net

Audio out on my VX2000 was humming, so I took it in. I bought a 4 yr performance warranty for it at a local service center (even though I bought the cam out of state). Anyway, they're going to replace the main audio board and the guy told my wife he'd go ahead and replace the drum too (not many hrs on it).

I wonder if the audio boards from the VX2100 interchange and if I'll get one? I never noticed excessive hiss before, but improved audio would be great! I won't get it back for another week or two.
