Servo Motor?

I was just speaking with somebody that said when they turn on their vx2000 they get this weird noise, almost like a vibration coming from the barrel end of the camera. It goes away after a bit. Then if he goes to use the focus ring it starts making that noise and vibrating again. I suggested it could be his servo motor that controls the focus going up or knocked out of place. But my knowlege of the internals is lacking so if anybody could fill in a few cents to help point us in the right direction.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
That's a new one for me. I think maybe it is time to call Sony or Armatos and have a chat with them.
