Best audio set up?
In January I will shooting a Talent show for models for 7 months but was looking at last year video crew and they had poor audio what best audio set up for the vx2000> I will shooting a staic shot from a stage in hotel down on to the talent?I have a mixer board?What best mic set up get good audio and is there any vx2000 tip page that could help with this?

A mixer is good to have. I also recommend getting an XLR adapter like the ones sold by Beachtek or Studio 1 Productions. A good mic is a necessity as well as a good boom pole and shock mount. Even if you're indoors you will probably need some sort of windscreen.
If you're on your own (i.e. no boom operator), you should still check into getting a good shock mount. I think Lightwave (and other companies) makes one for mounting shotgun mics to a camera. |
