Camera Case for VX2000/2100
FYI
I recently received my new VX2100 and was out this past weekend looking for a camera bag or hard case. I struck out at Circuit City, Best Buy etc. I stopped at Harbor Freight and found a great hard case for a great price. $30.00 I know, what could I have got that was any good for that price. I had to add my own foam but the case has more than enough room for my needs and the price is right. Check it out at: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=36871 At the H.F. store the case is on sale right now for under $25 including tax. I hope this is not an inapproriate post for this forum. Bret |

I too, am looking for a camera case/bag for my VX-2100. I'm looking for a soft case bag though. I wonder how those Sony ones are? I might have to hit up Best Buy too.

I use the Sony (Petrel) soft cases for my PD-150's. I like them a lot as they have a fair amount of room and are heavily padded.

When I got my 2100 the company I ordered it from asked me if I wanted a hard shell case. I didn't know anything about what they were going to send me. I ended up with a Coleman Transporter 5. The inside is a foam rubber that breaks off in chunks so you can customize it to the size of your camera and accessories. I also like the extedable handle and wheels like you see on luggage. The long strap is sturdy and the handle has a nice feel. I don't get tired of carrying it. Lockable latches complete the ruggedness. I'm quite pleased with it.
