Is everyone using PD150/170's????
"I just thought some of you might enjoy this article:
http://news.com.com/2100-12_3-5125168.html?tag=nefd_top" Referencing the closed thread (of which I totally agree with Mike!), why is it that we keep hearing about networks/independents using PD150/170's over DVX's, XL-1s', GL-2's or VX2000's? What's the skinny? From what I have seen PD-150's have more network exposure than others. Does Sony have an "in"?

Im not sure if they have an "in" but I would assume its the proven track record of theses cams since the the release of the VX1000. They are very durable cams are excellent in low light and possibly the DVCAM feature may be a plus for the networks. I was just in Times Square in NYC and saw 2 guys with a 150. Me being a 2k owner had to ask who they were shooting for. Turns out they worked for FOX in the graphics department and were just out getting some shots for some ideas. And that they use the 150 a lot for this.
