Best tape to purchase?
Greetings.
Quickly reading the VX2000 User's Manual, I discovered a term that I am not familiar with. "CASSETTE MEMORY" Can any one please describe to me what Cassette Memory is and what it is used for? Why is it best to purchase a tape labeled with 4K cassette memory? NEXT... what is the best brand or type or grade of tape to begin purchasing for the VX2000? tx in advance |

I use FUJIs and Panasonics, but I never mix brands of tape. These have both worked well for me. Others have not.

Skater107: ..."DV tapes with IC Memory Chips allows you to build a "Table of Contents" of the tape that can be accessed automatically to locate a particular recording date, index point or even add titling to the memory that can be turned on and off during playback.
The IC Memory Chip in Mini DV tapes does not effect the way the picture is recorded and is not needed to get great results."... Hope it helps... N |
