Hello-

Can someone tell me which zoom control to get for VX-2000 that fits on tripod handle.

Thank you very much.

There are too many options. You have to decide which style fits your MO.

Varizoom, Bogen, Sony and others make controls.

Do a search for "zoom control". That's what I did awhile ago when I was in the market. You will find lots of discussion of the pros and cons of all the different models. It was very helpful to me in making a choice.

Basically I am looking for zoom, and record option on the control.
It has to have the original zoom toggle switch. Not the one with buttons.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mahesh, you have many options in a wide range of prices. The cheapest is the Sony RM VD-1 for about fifty bucks. The Canon ZR 1000 is quite adequate for $185.00. And at the high end I like the Bogen, and my personal favorite, the Zoe at around $350.00 at SaferSeas. The more expensive controllers will do a better job of controlling the zoom lens, which is really why you buy these units. Remember that heavy advertising does not necessarily mean a good product. I don't believe I have ever seen the Canon control advertised, but it does the job and they say they sell all they produce. BTW, because Canon and Sony use the same control protocol (LANC), you can use the Canon control with your Sony camera.
